Getting started with Orion

What is Orion?

Orion is a browser-based Command and Control interface built on Legion, our system integration platform.

Annotated Orion layout: callouts label Organizations at the top centre, Notifications at the top right, the Entities List on the left edge, Livestreams on the right edge, the Map in the centre and Entity Details along the bottom.

Orion provides an integrated view of unmanned assets, allowing for streamlined surveillance, awareness, and response.

The Entities list expanded on the left over a map, listing 233 entities with EO/IR-85 selected. The map shows that camera's field of view and its entity detail panel is open below, reading latitude, longitude, zoom, bearing and Guard mode.

The map shows a live view of all your assets and detections. You can select entities on the map, or from the expandable list on the left. Once selected, you will see more information regarding the entities.

The entity detail panel has four functional areas:

  1. Header
  2. System Information
  3. Actions
  4. Data streams

The EO/IR-85 entity detail panel with its Streams tab and pin button, and an arrow tracing the pin action to the Streams sidebar on the right, which holds three pinned streams above a Fullscreen button.

Video streams can be pinned to the sidebar on the right edge of the map. The “Fullscreen” button at the bottom of the right sidebar opens the CCTV view.

The CCTV view: an Available Streams list on the left with a pin toggle on every stream, and five pinned CAM-321 streams filling the pane. The hovered stream shows its Fullscreen and Pin overlay buttons.

The CCTV view presents a focused view of all of your pinned streams. Pin or unpin streams in this view using the list on the left.

A CAM-321 stream full-screen, titled Bears Tooth, with source, latitude, longitude, bearing and Guard mode overlaid at the top left, a targeting reticle in the centre, a pitch slider on the right, and a zoom slider beside a 122-degree bearing dial at the bottom.

Task and control cameras in real time while full-screen.

A map showing three EO/IR-85 camera fields of view. A Detection Details tooltip reads type object/human with its position and detection timestamp, and the Notifications panel on the right lists footsteps, shot, object and human detections with how long ago each fired.

The notification center displays a combined list of events from across your organization. Hover or click on an event to view more information and clicking on takes you to where the entity is on the map.
